Groupon opens Concept Store

Groupon opens its first ever retail concept store in Singapore’s Suntec City shopping mall. As well as being a collection point for purchases already made from the website, there are iPads for shoppers to browse, purchase, print and redeem coupons on the spot. Selected products are available for display and for testing, and there is a counter for exchange or repairs. The bricks and mortar store enables Groupon Singapore to get to know its customers/see the faces behind the screens and to deliver greater customer service.

This merging of on and offline reminds of me the eBay pop-up shop, which first graced New York in 2009 and then in London last Christmas.
